TWO ARE IN THE HOSPITAL AFTER A DOMESTIC DISPUTE MONDAY EVENING…THE NAMES ARE BEING WITHHELD IN THE CASE, BUT POLICE SAY A 32-YEAR OLD MAN STRUCK A 26-YEAR OLD WOMAN MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE FACE, THEN LEFT FROM A HOME IN BROCKPORT MONDAY.  THE WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO PENN HIGHLANDS DUBOIS, THEN FLOWN OUT OF TOWN WITH SERIOUS FACE AND HEAD INJURIES.  BEFORE EMERGENCY PERSONNEL CAME TO THE HOUSE, THE WOMAN IS SAID TO HAVE TAKEN AN OVERDOSE OF MEDICATION AS WELL.  THE MAN WAS ARRESTED A BIT LATER AFTER A CHASE.  HE APPARENTLY HAD CUT HIMSELF SEVERELY AND WAS ALSO FLOWN OUT OF TOWN FOR TREATMENT.  THE MAN IS FACING CHARGES IN THE INCIDENT…NO WORD ON THEIR CONDITION TODAY.    

 

KANE STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A HIT-AND-RUN IN HAMLIN TOWNSHIP.  THEY SAY IT HAPPENED ABOUT 1:30 EARLY YESTERDAY MORNING ON ROUTE 6 WHEN THE UNKNOWN VEHICLE LEFT THE ROADWAY, STRUCK 2 STEEL POSTS THAT WERE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, THEN SLAMMED INTO A UTILITY POLE SUPPORT CABLE.  THE VEHICLE THEN FLED THE SCENE. 

 

IT’S A FEAR MOST OF US HAVE WHEN DRIVING – SOMETHING FALLING FROM THE TRUCK AND HITTING OUR VEHICLE.  IT PLAYED OUT YESTERDAY AFTERNOON ABOUT 2:30 IN ST. MARYS WHEN A PIECE OF METAL FELL FROM A TOW TRUCK AND HIT A CAR DRIVEN BY 27-YEAR OLD ASHLEY ERICH OF ST. MARYS ON BRUSSELLES STREET.  THE TOW TRUCK IS SAID TO BE GREY IN COLOR WITH A BLUE BED AND THE LETTER M ON THE VEHICLE.  ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ASKED TO CALL ST. MARYS POLICE.

 

ST. MARYS POLICE ARE ALSO INVESTIGATING THE THEFT OF A STAINLESS STEEL TAILGATE FROM A TRUCK THAT WAS PARKED ON RIGHTMEYER STREET.  THE THEFT ALLEGEDLY HAPPENED SUNDAY BETWEEN 6:30 AM AND 10:20 PM.  THE TAILGATE HAS THE WORD “REBCO” ON IT.  IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION, YOU’RE ASKED TO CALL ST. MARYS POLICE.
