INVESTIGATORS ARE LOOKING INTO THE CAUSE OF A JOHNSONBURG FIRE…

THE STATE POLICE FIRE MARSHAL TELLS US THE FIRE BROKE OUT YESTERDAY AFTERNOON ABOUT 5 AT A 3-STORY BUILDING ON EAST CENTER STREET IN JOHNSONBURG BOROUGH.  THE FIRE IS SAID TO HAVE STARTED IN A VACANT APARTMENT ON THE 2ND FLOOR.  A RENTER IN THE BUILDING, CHRISTOPHER KRUG, WAS ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE BUILDING DURING THE INCIDENT.  NOBODY WAS HURT AND DAMAGE IS ESTIMATED AT ABOUT 65 THOUSAND DOLLARS.  THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES TODAY. 

 

INVESTIGATORS ARE ALSO LOOKING INTO AN ACCIDENT LATE LAST NIGHT ON INTERSTATE 80 IN PINE TOWNSHIP, CLEARFIELD COUNTY INVOLVING 2 TRACTOR-TRAILERS.  POLICE SAY IT HAPPENED ABOUT 10:20 NEAR MILE MARKER 109.5 WHEN ONE TRUCK STRUCK THE REAR OF THE 2ND CAUSING ONE OF THE TRUCKS TO LOSE IT’S LOAD OF AUTO PARTS ALL OVER THE ROADWAY.  THE ROAD WAS SHUT DOWN FOR A PERIOD TO ALLOW CLEANUP.  NOBODY WAS HURT. 

 

A RIDGWAY MAN FACES CHARGES AFTER HE WAS TOLD TO LEAVE ANOTHER RIDGWAY MAN’S PROPERTY.  RIDGWAY STATE POLICE TELL US 39-YEAR OLD MICHAEL CONROY WENT ONTO THE PROPERTY OF 31-YEAR OLD JOSEPH CHRISTINI MONDAY AFTERNOON ABOUT 2:15 AND WAS ASKED TO LEAVE BY CHRISTINI.  WHEN HE DIDN’T, CHRISTINI CALLED POLICE AND CONROY WAS CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL TRESSPASS.

 

IT’S GETTING CLOSER NOW.  SOME PREP WORK, A BIG MEAL, SOME EARLY MORNING SHOPPING, THEN SOME FOOTBALL.  FRIDAY NIGHT IT’S THE PIAA CLASS A WESTERN SEMIFINALS FROM SLIPPERY ROCK UNIVERSITY AS THE DISTRICT 9 CHAMP KANE WOLVES MEET THE DISTRICT 10 CHAMP SHARPSVILLE BLUE DEVILS AT N. KERR THOMPSON STADIUM.  THE HOUND WILL HAVE COVERAGE STARTING AT 6:30 FROM THE ROCK.
