A BULL ELK IS DEAD AFTER A FIGHT AT THE ELK COUNTRY VISITORS CENTER IN BENEZETTE EARLIER THIS WEEK. OFFICIALS SAY A 6-BY-7 ELK WAS FATALLY WOUNDED DURING A FIGHT WITH ANOTHER BULL. THE PA GAME COMMISSION WAS ABLE TO RECOVER THE ANIMAL AND HAVE IT PROCESSED FOR MEAT. ELK COUNTY VISITOR OFFICIALS SAY ITS A HARSH REMINDER OF THE REALITIES OF NATURE.
